Prior To Demolition

We’re stoked to be working on the $3M+ retrofit and build-out of the upcoming Sports Authority building. A historic building, just off of River Street in Santa Cruz, presents us with a number of challenges to meet. We ‘re removing outbuildings and making significant upgrades to bring the 1925 structure up to current code. All the while we need to maintain the historical integrity of the original building. We’re bringing our recycling practices to the project as well, saving siding, redwood lumber and more. Read more about the buildings history and see a video in this Santa Cruz Sentinel article.

LEED Platinum Certification

The paper certification for Santa Cruz County’s first, and to date – only, LEED Platinum certified home has finally arrived at the office. We framed the certificate and it now sits proudly on Pete’s desk.

We salute all of the people who put in time and incredible effort on this project. Thanks for working with us on this one. For those of you who might not know, this project also earned us our second Santa Cruz City Green Building Award on November 13, 2012. The award was presented to Pete in the Santa Cruz City Council chambers.
